How it arrives
Each burrito is wrapped and frozen on its own, and every order includes a bottle of our homemade green salsa. Orders ship frozen by Yamato cool delivery and should go into your freezer on arrival.
How to heat it
- Take it out Take the burrito out of the freezer and put it on a microwave-safe plate. Leave the brown paper on.
- Heat, one at a time Microwave on high for about 4 minutes, turning it over halfway through. Heat only one burrito at a time.
- Check it Make sure the centre is thoroughly hot before eating. The filling should be hot all the way through.
- Enjoy Let it stand for a moment, then add green salsa to taste.
Cooking time varies with the power of your microwave: a lower-powered oven needs longer, a higher-powered one needs less. Four minutes is a guideline for a typical oven, not a fixed time. Whatever yours takes, check that the centre is thoroughly hot before eating.
The brown paper the burrito is wrapped in is microwave safe and oven safe. Heat it with the paper on — please do not remove it.
Keep burritos frozen until you heat them. If the salsa arrives frozen, move it to the refrigerator to thaw, and keep it refrigerated once thawed.
Sourcing
The venison, rice, and onions are sourced from Furano, while the black beans come from Biei. Cheddar cheese is used in the venison burrito, and mozzarella cheese in the black bean and cheese burrito. Each burrito is handmade, individually wrapped, and frozen. The salsa features domestically grown jalapeños, and the seasoning — using natural salt and organic rice vinegar — creates a mild flavor profile.
